Join our Volunteer Team

Team members may be asked to gather research in preparation for legislative sessions, monitor the progress of proposed legislation, help support for or oppose bills, 

Members may be asked to attend community events focused on policy, assist with social media efforts, coordinate with affiliate organizations, or other grass roots efforts such as crafting emails or making calls. 

Team members may also work with, our Policy Team to advocate for school administrators (e.g., Title IX), &/or supervisory or administrative staff members to support stalking specific policies within organizations. 

This team's main focus is on ensuring all training is up to date & focused on the needed communities. Members also ensure we are meeting the needs of our audience(s) while remaining diverse, equitable, & inclusive. 

The goals of research keeping up with critical new data, identifying new trends, both epidemiological and legal that must be included in materials. We also want to include any important gaps & barriers. Trainings need to focus on understanding offender behaviors as well as victim protection which may not always align.

New academic research, legislative, policy, & socioeconomic changes in Maryland should be identified & incorporated into new training & printed materials annually . As questions are raised, we should be informed & additional research located.
